1. beautiful product

   purchased in March, arrived in April; excellent construction - main point for getting this was ease of assembly, as we put it together in about 20 min; i had tatami mats and under bed drawers from a previous platform that fit well; beautiful consrltruction, material, colour, and quality - the cost is definitely worth it - thank you so much!

2. Great choice

   As other reviewers mention, this frame is easy to assemble, solid, and comfortable. The design of the bed allowed us to eliminate the old box spring foundation we'd been using without sacrificing any of the comfort. In fact, this is a more comfortable and solid bed than we've had in the past. It was a great choice, and one I'd make again.

3. Great value for this type of bed

   After a long wait (shipping delays), I received my tall tatami platform bed frame, in walnut color. It was packed very well and, in spite of some dings to the shipping boxes, the product wasn't damaged at all. The frame is not as precisely crafted or as uniformly finished as I would like, but it went together easily and securely after I learned to lay the slat pack with the webbing facing down. Minor blemishes in the finish aside, this bed is a good value, just the right height, attractive (though darker than shown), and rock solid once assembled. And, with no tax or shipping charges, it's tough to resist. If I could change anything, I would suggest the manufacture adapt the design to elevate a mattress a bit closer to the top of the frame. My mattress sits deeply recessed rather snugly in the frame, which makes it a little difficult to change the sheets. But, it's a minor annoyance, not a deal breaker. Of course, it is a tatami bed, so it's designed to accept grass mats, not a 12-inch mattress. I really like the blocky, stout appearance and it suits my transitional farmhouse style surprisingly well. Competing products lack the visual heft of this frame. Highly recommended.

   I have the same bed in queen but bought from another store. I wanted to upgrade to a king. I wasn't sure if the quality was going to be the same as my old bed but I took a chance since it looked exactly the same. I made the right choice! The bed is of great quality. it is sturdy, well made. My order shipped really quickly in spite of the 6-8 week lead time that was stated on the website. I got my order within the week! I bought the matching headboard and two tall side tables, both were as awesome as the bed! I'll definitely buy more from Tatami Room should I need anything else.

5. Phenomenal bed frame.

   There are few feelings that hold a candle to the feeling of investing in furniture you've never seen in person, and then having your expectations surpassed. I've been sleeping on a $200 Ikea bed frame since I graduated college two years ago, and my recent moving company did me the favor of breaking the bed frame. I decided I wanted to invest a bit more into a bed frame without getting something pretentious. After a lot of research, I found Tatami Room. There's an alternative company out there who does a lot of Instagram marketing for a similar bed, but I eliminated them after spending time reading about them.
   
   Assembling the bed frame was easy. Granted, it wasn't very quick since I'm a one man army, but I can't complain about spending 30 minutes from opening the boxes to laying the mattress down. The material is solid. The bed frame, when assembled, is solid. There is no movement about any of the axes. Another nice thing is that once it's assembled, moving it around is easy so you can find the perfect spot. I could not be happier with my choice in bed frame. There aren't many businesses I can pledge to be a lifelong customer to, but Tatami Room has secured a spot. Well done to your team and I'm excited to continue to furnish my homes with your furniture.

   The quality and craftsmanship is great, The best sleep I've had in several years I bought the bed matching night stands and the head board and am very impressed with the quality and the easy assembly it took longer to unpack everything than it took to assemble. I've recomended this bed to several friends...

   I bought this bed from this site because it was in stock and cheaper than where I bought my Shikibuton and Kafebuton. I didn’t have a clue how heavy the tatami mats and the bed can be. I am very very happy with how it is made. I’ve ordered the headboard and that will come later. I’m making a cover for my Shikibuton with Korean fabric I bought at a fabric store near me. I am older and definitely like the fact that it was a tall platform bed and not directly on the floor. It is easier for me to get out of and frankly I don’t miss my old saggy queen size western bed. I use a CPAP and find I am sleeping much better on this bed. I do recommend unless you’re really strong that you have someone help you with lifting the tatami mats and bedframe pieces. At 63 I’m fairly strong but I was surprised how heavy everything was. I highly recommend this bed.
