Tatami Platform Bed Frame in Honey Oak - The low platform bed frame is made of 100% solid hardwood (Parawood-environmentally friendly wood) in satin finish. Includes 18 pairs of wooden slats (2" spacing) to support any standard size mattress. This Japanese style platform bed is constructed with interlocking frames that requires no brackets or screws for easy assembly.
*Complete platform bed set comes with Tatami mat(s) to create a serenity space for meditation or sitting area, Japanese futon mattress may be added for sleeping that provide excellent back support and comfort (sold separately).

Solid, Heavy, Well Constructed Bed Frame

It took about 10 weeks from ordering to receiving the bed frame, but Tatami Room was very responsive and upfront about the long lead time and quick to provide an update when asked. The bed frame arrived in three separate boxes, all well packed with plenty of protective padding and in perfect condition. Assembly was very easy, the main frame just slots together while the mid beam has a couple bolts to secure it. Everything is heavy solid hardwood.
We’ve been using it for a few weeks now and love it. No noise, looks great, definitely no regrets with this purchase.

Excellent frame

I chose this bed over the (very overpriced in my opinion) Thuma. I have no regrets. The frame is solid. I was able to assemble the king sized frame completely by myself, a 120lb woman. From first opening up the shipping boxes through putting the sheets back on my mattress after placing it on the completed frame, I'd say it took about 40 minutes from start to finish. Not bad at all, considering that I was by myself. It is silent, solid, and exactly what I was looking for. Arrived about 4 weeks after I placed my order in perfect condition.

I purchased one of these bed frames and it was a breeze to assemble, no tools
requires. It’s incredibly sturdy and quiet. It’s quite beautiful too.
I had an issue with one cosmetic piece not fitting, and the company sent me multiple replacement parts for free with quick shipping. Please don’t hesitate if you’re thinking about buying this bed.

The bed arrived perfectly packed. It is easy to mount. The slats are great. All the bed frame is made of solid wood, extremely sturdy and excellent quality. I chose this king size bed frame because it was the only one (with Thuma) to offer solid wood at a decent price. Compared to the Thuma, and when choosing the lower legs, it is closer to the floor. Most of the nice looking beds online are made of particle board, and the wood is just a veneer.

I recently bought the king size tatami w mats i already had the queen version i decided to rotate that to my guest room and use the king for my room. I got the queen 11years ago and it is good as new can’t tell it is not new. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR BEDS!!!

Fantastic high-quality bed frame, great shipping

Estimated shipping was 6-8 weeks, but to my pleasant surprise it only took 4 weeks to arrive. Everything was packaged extremely securely and well: there was minor damage to the shipping boxes, but the wood itself was so well protected that it was unharmed.
I was sleeping on a temporary cheap wooden platform from Amazon while waiting for this bed. Even though I did consider the temporary frame to be low to the ground, once I switched to the Tatami Room frame, the mattress was lower by a full SEVEN inches.
The bed is gorgeous and rock solid, easy to setup, and an overall excellent purchase. I couldn't be happier with this bed frame.
