Product Description
The space efficient Wakayama platform bed frame features interlocking Japanese joinery assembly and mattress to frame correspondence. Constructed of solid hardwood (Parawood, also known as rubber tree wood), the Japanese architectural influenced bed frame has pyramid-shaped inset legs, two center support legs, and center support with wooden slats less than two inches apart. This versatile bed frame may be used with or without a box spring, and the height of this headboard is adjustable to accommodate a 10 or 13 inch mattress. *Headboards are sold separately.

The bed rocks (actually it's super solid)!

When those buttery joints first slid together with minimal effort I knew this bed was gonna be the bomb. A week later this thing hasn't even thought about creaking, despite our best efforts... It also looks great; clean lines, understated elegance, and only a few bolts.

This is not your bed out of a box this is a well constructed bed made of real wood not pressed cheap wood you get from some big furniture stores. Easy to assemble beautifully stained and sturdy beautiful piece of art work.

I purchased a Wakayama Platform bed and I am quite happy with it. It is very sturdy and there are no creaking noises while getting on or off the bed like with the usual beds. My wife wanted me to buy the "TALL" Wakayama bed which I forgot about while ordering. Tatami room was kind enough to ship me just the taller leg set for the TALL Wakayama bed and thus easily solved my problem,
The bed was very easy to assemble . This was a breeze compared to assembling any IKEA furniture. An email and a call to Tatami customer service also enabled me to get the local ground transportation shipping rate. Overall, a pleasant experience with Tatami Room

Very Happy with our purchase

My wife and I have had the same Wrought Iron bed frame for the last 19 years. we spent the money and purchased a solid piece of furniture. So after being spoiled with such a great original purchase we researched and decided to buy the Wakayama Bed. The craftsmanship is outstanding and the bed went together easily and quickly and has proved to be a very solid addition to our household. I would not hesitate to buy another bed for a guestroom or kids room, overall we are very happy with our purchase.

Received our Wakayama Platform Bed heavily wrapped in five separate packages with instructions and hardware. Went together like a charm.
As it went together it became more and more elegant.

I'm very pleased with our purchase of the king wakayama bed frame. It is a well-made, solid, heavy, nicely finished piece of furniture. It came very well packaged with no shipping damage.
