I recently purchased the "Natural Finish" platform bed. I was so easy to set-up, it was amazing. I am happy with the bed and glad I elected to purchase from Tatamiroom. One note: I did not notice the option for taller legs.
Hope you all enjoy your bed as much as I do.

Several months ago my wife started looking for a way to have tatami mat flooring but somehow elevated off the floor. Homes in the US are not designed like homes in Japan where the whole home is elevated, or at least the living surface is elevated from the doorways and outside. I had mentioned it to her in a theoretical sense and then she discovered this bed. If you can't elevate the house, elevate the floor. The construction and craftsmanship is superb. The finish is smooth and beautiful. I have had slatted bases in beds in the past, and the slats would shuffle around all the time. This bed has an elegant solution to keep the slats under slight tension and perfectly aligned. No slipping, sliding, creaking, or anything like that. Every piece slips into place precisely and perfectly. Assembly is simple. The tatami are extremely well constructed. My bedroom went from having massive and oppressive furniture to being a serene environment where I can actually rest. With the combination of this bed, tatami mats, and Tatamiroom's shikibuton sleeping mat, I have been able to sleep for ten hours straight whereas in the previous three years on my conventional 24" thick boxspring and mattress combination I could never manage more than six hours in a row. Even if you don't use tatami mats and shikibuton, this bed will suit some other mattress placed right on the slats.

I was looking for a platform bed to put my tempure pedic foundation and mattress when while surfing the web I came across the tatami platform bed,I looked no further. It looked just like the platform bed I slept on while in Japan last February, the natular wood color matched my other bedroom furniture and as far as putting it together it was a sinch.
