Product Description
This Japanese platform bed is made of 100% solid Para hardwood (environmentally friendly wood). The frame and headboard are constructed with over an inch thickness of wood in satin finish. Interlocking systems is simple, sturdy and easy to put together that requires only six screws to secure the frame. The Zen Platform Bed includes 18 wooden slats (2 inch spacing), center support rail, and two center legs that can support any standard Queen or King size mattress. *Headboard is sold separately.

Very happy with the bed, it’s very beautiful and feels very solid with no creaks so far. I really like that it can hold a king later too. The one bad thing was putting it together. The instructions are very blurry and don’t explain the screws. My mom has done a lot of construction/woodwork and she ended up coming over and figuring them out for us. Otherwise, I’m not sure how we would have put the bed together. TLDR- the bed is solid and super beautiful. The instructions need help.

A very good purchase

I’m very happy with the Zen platform bed I purchased. The quality from the material used with heavy hard wood and the craftsmanship is well priced. I am now enjoying my mattress with the support of this bed. Yes. I will go back to this company with future needs on bedroom furniture.

It's nice but some flaws

I feel that this bed will last a ling time. It is my second from this store. I bought my first 15 years ago and wanted an upgrade. Although I like it, I think the headboard could be much taller. With pillows, you can barely see it. Also, the instructions are horrendous. You can figure it out, but they are blurry and hard to read. The worst thing is that the slats do not screw down. With my last bed, they has several screws to hold them in place. This is a flaw in design to me. Finally, the screws do not fit where they should. Too hard to work with those screws.

The headboard is really small but overall the bed is very nice. The instructions were very unclear but I figured it out.
