Good attractive lamp, but switch is in the cord

I got it for my nightstand, and it looks really great while providing good light for reading. I wish the switch was on the lamp base instead of on the cord 20 inches away. You either have to reach down to the floor to find the switch or wrap the cord around the lamp base so the switch is on top of the nightstand, which pretty much ruins the good looks.
