Tatami Platform Bed Frame in Dark Walnut - The low platform bed frame is made of 100% solid hardwood (Parawood-environmentally friendly wood) in satin finish. Includes 18 pairs of wooden slats (2" spacing) to support any standard size mattress. This Japanese style platform bed is constructed with interlocking frames that requires no brackets or screws for easy assembly.
*Complete platform bed set comes with Tatami mat(s) to create a serenity space for meditation or sitting area, Japanese futon mattress may be added for sleeping that provide excellent back support and comfort (sold separately).

Great Company, Great Product

My wife and I finally decided to upgrade from sleeping on the ground, and after a lot of research, we landed on Tatami Room. It was definitely worth the wait! The high quality craftsmanship was immediately clear upon opening the product, and now that it's been a couple months, I can happily report that the frame is sturdy, well-constructed, and looks great! The tatami mats have also been a great addition.

Exactly what I wanted and is very sturdy. I added a set of 31' LED lights under and behind it. Now it is just plain SUPER COOL!! I will say that I had to get used the the legs sticking out a bit further than I was used to and busted up a couple of toes. But one learns that lesson pretty quickly. And, of course this is no fault of the bed frame.

For the last 5 or so months, I've been sleeping on this bed frame, with tatami mats, and an japan shikibuton. I believe switching over to both has been the best move I've made for my sleep in years! The frame itself is wonderful; it's easy to put together, extremely well made and quite a beautiful piece of furniture. I couldn't be happier!

We have been looking for a solid wood platform bed for some time. Several online sites sell this exact same bed, headboard, and nightstands. But the tatamiroom.com price for the whole package was less than everyone else, which made me wary. But after reading glowing reviews on reddit and several other sites, I was convinced to take the plunge. I am so glad we did. The bed is gorgeous, it arrived way faster than expected, and it is solid. We couldn't be happier and I highly recommend tatamiroom.com to anyone looking for a high-quality Japanese platform bed.

Wonderful frame and customer service

The frame and headboard are gorgeous, and as easy to assemble as everyone else here has said. It's so well-made and sturdy, and exactly what I was hoping for. I needed to contact customer service (about a Paypal issue, nothing with the bed or delivery), and they were incredibly pleasant and helpful, too. It was all such a nice experience, I wish I needed to buy more beds.

For some time we have been looking for something other than the cumbersome bed frames which are so readily available. I came across this product via the Internet. A high quality well-built frame, exceptional hard wood and finish as well as being a space saver.

Awesome product, real wood is hard to find these days and their bed frame is solid and great having minimal amount of screws. Wood finish is outstanding.

Everything packaged in to survive shipment, thrilled that there was ZERO damage. Everything went together in minutes - took longer to carefully unpack than to put together. Item quality is excellent! After many unhappy on line purchases it was nice to have one go so well.

Awesome sleep first night!

Rushed to put this bed with tatami mats together so we could enjoy it the night we purchased. Bed frame, headboard and Mats were all packed well with out any damage or any cosmetic issue. Bed assembled in a flash as the parts went together so easy. If I were to go to hell, I would be tasked with assembling furniture from a well known Swedish company - assembly of this bed was the exact opposite of those endeavors. First night sleep was awesome on a 3” thick shikifuton. If you have back issues and are thinking of switching to an Eastern style of sleeping, this bed is “doing it right the first time”. Very happy!
