Damaged product, excellent customer service

I am reluctant to remove one star, but the headboard i received has a crack in it when I received it. Fortunately customer service was stellar and agreed to replace the headboard.

Gorgeous, quality headboard

This is the second Tatamiroom order that our family has placed. Our daughter was the first to purchase one of their beds for her first apartment. We were so impressed by the quality of the bed that we decided to order a second bed for her bedroom at home for when she comes to visit.
My husband's grandfather made custom furniture, so he is extremely picky when it comes to both the wood and workmanship. The Mado Classic Platform Headboard had him nodding in approval upon inspection. The finish of the wood is smooth and the headboard fits perfectly into the Tall platform bed. Assembling the bed is so easy with no tools required, except for the small Allen wrench they give you. I would recommend having two people to install just because of the sheer weight of the headboard. I would have struggled with it alone.
If I had one tiny critique, it is the the color may not match what you see on the computer screen. I knew this was going to be a possibility, because you cannot trust how monitors project colors. However, I was trying to come close to an existing bedroom dresser and night stand in color and the headboard is an extremely dark walnut and is not as light as you may think while viewing it online. Just keep that in mind. Regardless, this does not deter from the beauty of this headboard.
As to the shipping, Karl at Apex was professional and courteous. His friendly demeanor and knowledge of the company was admirable. He even delivered the bed earlier than expected. We thought it would be at least another week when he telephoned to ask if he could bring it over in over in a half hour? SURPRSE! We were thrilled.
I would not hesitate to recommend Tatamiroom.com to any of my friends or family when they are looking to purchase their next bed.

I have wanted one of the beds since I saw them on line many years ago. They under promised and over delivered on the shipping. fiit and finish are excellent. I had a small issue and Pin responded in ess than 1 hour from my email. Great customer service!

I love it. Just as described and what I was looking for. I'm glad I changed from the shorter, curved headboard to this one. Just the right height with mattress and pillows. Other one would have been too short!

Bed is superb, headboard is as well. Received in perfect condition, fit bed frame perfectly. Very happy with package, NOT A SINGLE SQUEEK, bed went together in a few minutes and is solid as a rock!

I love the look of this so much!! It was so easy to add to the bedframe. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I wish it came with separate hardware fo the King. The screws of the King frame do not fit snug in the headboard. But, I have seen no issues because of this. Looks great, solid wood.
